Help put your community on the map.
map.ca is a Canadian map where every business, club and person can have a pin and a page. It is built by a social enterprise, there are no ads, and the AI on the map runs in Canada. There are two ways in, and both start here.
Become a Founding Member
$21 a year, or $210 for life
Your pin on the map, a page of your own, your name@map.ca held for life, and a MapAi assistant on your pin. All taxes included, paid by e-transfer from your own bank.
Become an Ambassador
$5 or $50 when someone you helped joins
An ambassador is a member who helps people they know get on the map. Paid once per person by e-transfer, capped at $500 a year. Not a sales job. What you keep is the connection.
What the map is
A pin and a page
One pin, one page, one flat price, for every business, club and person in Canada. Not a directory that disappears when an ad budget runs out. There are no ads on the map.
A social enterprise
Run by And Can Did Inc. The map earns its keep from memberships, nothing else, and puts a large share of what comes in back into local leadership and the map's infrastructure.
Built in Canada
Built in Canada, and the AI assistant on every pin runs in Canada too. The map is built to cost less to run each year, not more, so pricing can stay steady.

The opportunities
Ambassador thank-yous
$5 or $50 by e-transfer when a person you helped joins, once per person, capped at $500 a year. How it works.
Paid work on the map
A large share of company income goes into seeding local leadership and building the map's infrastructure. That means paid work: guiding new members, translating, building tools, running local events. Ambassadors can choose to hear about it first.
Business Boost
Reach the $500 cap and you have shown you can bring a community along. Apply for a Business Boost and we help you start a business of your own. What that means.
Learn it any time
The ambassador training is five short pages, open to everyone, no sign-in needed. Read it before you decide anything. It is the plainest description of the map we have.
Questions
What is map.ca?
A Canadian map where every business, club and person can have a pin and a page. It is run by And Can Did Inc., a social enterprise. There are no ads on the map and the map never sells anyone's information.
What does a membership cost?
$21 a year for a Founding Membership, or $210 once for a Lifetime Membership. All taxes are included and there is nothing else to pay. You pay by Interac e-transfer from your own bank. map.ca never holds card numbers.
How are ambassadors paid?
When a person you helped joins and their membership is verified, map.ca sends you $5 (they joined for $21) or $50 (they joined for $210) by e-transfer, once per person, on their first membership. Payments are capped at $500 a calendar year.
Is being an ambassador a job?
No. There are no targets and no quotas. The $500 yearly cap keeps it a thank-you between members. Ambassadors who reach the cap can apply for a Business Boost and get help starting a business of their own.
Can I take the training without joining?
Yes. All five training pages and the charter are open to everyone, any time, no sign-in needed. The short test and your ambassador listing open in your portal once you are a verified member.
What do the green and gold badges mean?
Green is a Founding Member ($21 a year). Gold is a Lifetime Member ($210). Givings add up: when the total pledged from your email reaches $210, your membership becomes Lifetime and your badge turns gold automatically, even if every pledge was a $21 one.
What about privacy?
Usernames come before full names. Your @name is what appears on the map, your full name stays private unless you choose to share it, and location is shown at the municipality level only.
