Page 2 of 5: What a membership includes

Before you send someone to Make Your Pledge, know exactly what their $21 or $210 buys, and what it does not. This page is also where the ambassador payment terms live, so you can come back to it later.

What's included

• $21 a year (Founding Membership) or $210 once, for up to 21 years (Lifetime).
• name@map.ca, held for their lifetime.
• Their pin, a storefront and a lobby page.
• A MapAi assistant on their pin.
• A certificate and a receipt. All taxes are included in the price.

What's not included

• No ads on the map, and none on their page.
• No traffic promise. The pin and the page are theirs to use; what people do with them is up to them.
• No refunds. Memberships are not refunded once the transfer lands.

Ambassador payout terms

When someone you helped joins and their membership is verified, here is exactly how you get paid.

1. Paid twice a month, on or about the 20th and the 5th, for joins verified by the 15th and month-end, at least a week earlier.
2. By Interac e-transfer to the bank email on your membership. Turn on Autodeposit at your bank and it lands without a question.
3. Once per person you help, on their first membership. Nothing on renewals.
4. Capped at $500 a calendar year. Past that, referrals are recorded and you can apply for a Business Boost.
5. Payments are income. We do not issue a T4A under $500; you still report it. You get a statement each run and a year-end summary in January.
6. If a transfer is not accepted within 30 days it comes back to us and goes out again on the next run, once your email is confirmed.

The line to remember: "$21 a year or $210 for life, all taxes included, nothing else to pay. I'm paid twice a month by e-transfer, once per person, capped at $500 a year."
