Page 3 of 5: What to promise, what not to
People trust an ambassador because you are one of them. The fastest way to lose that is to promise something the map does not do. Here is the short list.
Say this
- Ambassador payments are capped at $500 a year. This is a thank-you between members, not a job.
- $21 a year or $210 for life. All taxes included. Nothing else to pay.
- Your pin, your name@map.ca held for life, an AI assistant on your pin run in Canada.
- You pay by e-transfer from your own bank. map.ca never holds card numbers.
- Your full name stays private unless you choose to share it.
- I get $5 or $50 when you join. I am telling you because that is fair.
Do not say this
- "It will bring you customers." It might. We do not promise traffic.
- "It is free" or "there is a trial." There is not. $21 is the floor.
- "It replaces your website." It is a pin and a page. Some people keep both.
- "You get a refund if you change your mind." Memberships are not refunded.
- Anything about renewals paying you. They do not, and that is on purpose.
The one line that covers most of it: "It is a Canadian map where your business or club has a pin and a page. It is $21 a year, you pay your own bank by e-transfer, and I get $5 for helping you join."
